Abstract
There is a significant increasing interest of researchers and experts on the use of English for subject matters, including medical English. In fact, what and how to teach English to the Health Science students become important issues. On the other hand, the demand for English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is expanding, especially in the curriculum of universities and other higher educational institutions in Indonesia. The research method used in this study was survey. It is a procedure in quantitative research in which investigators administer a survey to a sample or to entire population of people. The researcher chose 21 informants to fill out a written opened questionnaire. The details of the informants were the dean, the heads of four departments, 4 lecturers of English, and 12 students. It shows that most of the students of Health Science Faculty of UIN Alauddin need all the for skills to be presented in the designed EMAP course materials proportionally even though a skill can be more than the others. It indicates that there is a possibility to strengthen a skill focus more than the other ones. The reading skill that was expected to be developed in higher proportion can become a considerable decision.
