This paper discusses practice-based research method in Visual Art Education program in relation to the process of artwork production.  Working within this method, specific reference towards a particular artist, his/her background, artworks, methods of artwork production beginning from the process of initial sketches up to the final contemporary artwork must be made.  In addition, the artists’ statement is also addressed involving issues including the theme wishes to be explored alongside the discussion on the presentation of the final artwork.  Also known as studio-based method and creative research, the practice-based research method also explains the artists’ experience in presenting their artworks starting from creating his or her art gallery until the process of placing their own artworks on the wall.
