Our age can be described as period that the new world order has been shaped as well. We witness, in this period, that technological advancements attained a great speed and that many art disciplines have interacted each other.  Today in the name of understanding and telling contemporary art when many new literature were brought in to being, the crucial point is to perceive and interpret technology centred interdisciplinary art works known as new media arts, away from traditional approaches.  Purpose of the study is, therefore, that individuals receiving contemporary art education in this new and interdisciplinary art arena understand and interpret correctly concept of new media arts. In the study was used literature review method, supported by reference studies from new media art. Conclusion part was visited by place and significance of new media arts in education of contemporary art.
