Abstract
Contemporary approaches has developed today's museums into a dialogue center which establish close contacts with visitors throught object-oriented learning in order to present the exhibition objects. Training which is the basic social function of the museums is almost becoming one of the traditional functions of them in the 21st century. Therefore, museums are expected to develop their physical structures including contemporary lines and to emphasize the interaction with the audience and individual experience in the museum as well as educational opportunities which they offer. Visual culture has a close relationship with the museum education which develop extensional pedagogical methods to ensure to the maximum extent with the museum audience using an interdisciplinary terms in order to interact with the audience. Visual culture is an important issue which is emphasized by the museums in order to ensure their sustainability and it is also put into their territory after all. When we consider Contemporary museum as a knowledge producing institute which aims to reach it to all layers of society through educational activities it becomes easy to understand the function of visual culture in the museum practices. These works in the museums have enabled the development of information technology in the last thirty years and developed the integration of these technologies on the perception of the museums and revisioned of the implementation of structural reforms. Within the scope of this revisions online technologies, simulations, interactive presentations and digital exhibition designs are in the first place. These changes are taking place in the museums have inspired them in to several changes from collections to the museum policies, human resources and usage of digitalization of their events. The purpose of this study is to determine the visual culture practices within the scope of contemporary museum applications in Turkey in detail. The study is going to be the result of an investigation including structured interview forms in visual culture practices of the museums in Turkey which are managed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
