Abstract
Aim of this study is to examine group work for the impact of individual design skills at the Beykent University Development of Architecture during the 2012-2013 period in the summer school Architectural Design studio 4-5. Number of students who participated in the study, Architectural Design-4 in the group of 16 women, 29 men, Architectural Design-5 in the group of 4 women and 7 men, are a total of 46 students. For the increase of students' motivation to work and their sense of social responsibility is given project as a subject the architectural program of National Ideas Competition of Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LSV) the National Ideas Competition Çerkeş LSV Natural Living Center.
Within the seven-week course, students choose according to their preferences they have worked together in groups of 3-4 people. Students, in the first four weeks of the design course is expected to create common with fiction. Then, the students will design each of the program elements are determined separately. Throughout the process, brainstorming, presentations were carried out to support issues. To examine the effect on the motivation of the studio process, qualitative and quantitative measurement tools have been implemented at the end of the course. Regarding the process of studio were asked to answer written questions from students. The students' written responses, the qualitative findings were analyzed and interpreted.
