Abstract
Shopping concept has undergone major structural changes in the historical process. This concept came up associated with swap method, and entered into the important metamorphosis process with passages which are considered as the first examples of shopping centers.
These structures emerges as are appropriate venues are to be investigated by their social, political, civic and architectural dimensions which have penetrated to people’s daily life, social and cultural structures of urban, with the time at this point. However, functional fiction considered for Shopping Centres suggest, these venues are designed with a visual structure has similar characteristics to the city centre despite they away from city centre by physical and social aspects. Taken in this context, today inside of Shopping Centres has the various elements belonging to outer space have turned into urban spaces, once again emerges. All these data have been the main reason for handling this study in terms of architecture. Shopping Centres are consumer – oriented place as well as a place has become daily popular hangout for city people. Yet, fictionalized Shopping Centres do not go beyond limited spaces which shopping process is carried out. These limited architectural designs are discussed scope of this research and different solutions have been questioned. While doing this primarily concepts of consumer culture and shopping are scrutinized, shopping and space themes are associated, in addition, meanings of areas of daily life has been examined. This study addresses Shopping Malls’ spatial fiction in terms of architecture; besides these venues are products and services for sale, should qualify as spaces in public sphere will be possible while taking care of our thinking, and examining the effects of social life.
The interaction between place users and spatial of location which is driven in this study developed by an extensive literature; various articles, books and internet sources are used and discussed. At the present time, positive and negative effects to the social life of this kind of social spaces make essential investigation of the current situation and paved the way for prudential determinations.
