Abstract
Unless people are philosophers, historians, world travelers or some sort of social scientists, their attention is focused and narrowed on the everyday life, routine, things and actions, preventing them to realize where and how we live, where we came from and where we are going. Only some sort of special events, mostly very loud, turbulent and unpleasant, evokes our attention and shakes us in the way that all is seen from different perspective. Important aspects of life, and Education tend to pass by, unattended.
Educational level varies significatevely between countries, and cultures, and it comes easy to us that in spite of a real Globalised World we all live different realities.
So, focusing on education alone, what is the real meaning of "globalisation"? Is it an economically sustainable, desirable, well managed and conscious process? Can we really manage it in a way it would increase consciousness, generate equality?
Are we really living in a Global Society or do we still all live in a Plato's Cave?
