Aim of this study is to identify the preparedness levels of students at faculties of education department of fine arts teaching division of music education, for Western Orchestra – Chamber Music course. Within this context, the study group of the research consists of 2016-2017 academic year Gazi University Department of Music Teaching students. Students who participated in the study are applied a questionnaire form developed by the researchers. Being a qualitative research, the study seeks to determine the preparedness levels of students for orchestra – chamber music course, in terms of “style, period, technique, musicality and musical terms”.
