Architecture Students’ Conceptions of Citations

Abstract
The present study aimed to find out architecture faculty students’ citation conceptions. For this reason international students (n= 241; 28 different countries from Middle East and Africa) and Turkish university students (n= 291) of 17- 40 years old and grades 1-4 attended the present study. Regardless of the nationality all the students have at least one misconception concerning providing citations, in the context of the scale applied. Students are found to lack in awareness regarding plagiarism while reporting. Turkish students are more successful concerning some items while international students’ haven’t been found more successful regarding their counterparts in any of the items. Educational implications for citation is brought.
