Abstract
Enrolments in universities outside the home country both have opportunities and challenges. However studying in an island is more different compared to studying in big countries regarding population and area. The present study aims to determine the opportunities and challenges of the African students who are studying in North Cyprus. In order to determine the challenges and opportunities of the African students. Qualitative method is applied for the present study. The participants of the study consist of 20 African students enrolled in Master of Science and Doctorial programmes in the Institute of Educational Sciences. A semi-structured interview form was developed and used as data collection tool. Qualitative data was analysed by interater reliability analysis.
