Abstract

In the beginning, pictures ruled as a way to communicate ideas. 35000 years ago, people drew remarkable pictures on rocks and walls to communicate with one another. Today departed from the text-centric, black-and -white format and used color pictures and infographics to report the information (Smiciklas, 2012). Infographics, the word information graphics, use graphic visual
representations to show information, data or knowledge. Infographics applied in education, become more challenging to design teaching (Ru, & Ming, 2014). Boring classrooms, one of the education problems, made students unhappy and were not enthusiastic in learning as there were
no interesting learning tools applied to stimulate their learning. It resulted that learning methods should be adjusted by using learning techniques and creating learning environment that support the learning (Vanichvasin, 2013). As educators look for ways to integrate tools and applications to meet the needs of the visual learner, infographics are finding their their way into classrooms (Delello, & McWhorter, 2013). For teaching students graphical representation, while building their 21st century data and information literacy, it has an important place to integrate infographics into the science classes (Lamb, Polman, Newman, & Smith, 2014).
