How green meeting can reduced Greenhouse Gases emission in education sector?

Abstract


This research aims to study Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) emission from the general meeting and evaluated GHGs reduction after improve Green Meeting activity and process at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Thailand. The methodology focused on implemented green meeting activities such as reduce resource consumption in term of food and beverage as well as package. For energy conservation, time and temperature setting were also controlled. Paper usage as documents in the meeting was prominent concerning issue in order to reduce resources consumption and GHGs emissions. The data was conducted for 3 months and arrange 3 times for green meetings and Data was conducted for 2 months and arrange 3 times for green meetings and 3 times in normal meetings. The results revealed that,   in the original meeting GHGs emission equal 3.244 KgeCo2/ person/ meeting whereas for green meeting GHGs emission was only 3.1593 KgeCo2. The most reasonable activity that reduced GHGs emission is due to paper usage in green meeting was lower than general meeting.
