Abstract
The objective of this research was to study the species diversity of three vertebrate groups such as amphibians, reptiles and mammals at the Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Samut Songkhram Campus and its around area. This data was assessed for relative abundance of all populations and conservation status during December, 2012 to June, 2013 (seven months). The results were carried out by walking survey around the site. To survey the amphibians and reptiles along of stagnant drains, roadside ditch, lawn, dense grasses and scrap heap and also investigations were done in the night time. Mammals were operated on a direct surveying and especially a trapping and netting. The results of survey in this area found that 16 species in three groups of vertebrate, amphibians were classified to 2 species from 2 genera, 2 families in 1 order; reptiles were classified to 10 species from 9 genera, 5 families in 1 order and mammals were classified to 4 species from 4 genera, 3 families in 1 order. The population status of amphibians was classified on one common and one rare species. The population status of reptiles were divided on four common species, one uncommon species and five rare species. The population status of mammals were divided on three common species and one rare species. In addition, all vertebrates were observed with their conservation status.
