ABSTRACT

The Turkish Language Institute (2016) defines the term of "responsibility", that exists with mankind, as  “undertaking one's own behavior or the consequences of any event falling within his own jurisdiction, answerable, liability” Every individual living within the community has his own responsibilities. The individual has the responsibility of every event that results in his own behavior. The behavior of the people and the institutions that make up the society, in order to benefit all people is called "social responsibility" (Vural, Coşkun, 2011). Social responsibility projects play an important role in educating students as conscious, beneficial for the community and helpful individuals. It is also believed that social responsibility projects have an important contribution to the virtue training. The purpose of our study is to investigate the contribution of social responsibility projects to the virtue training. In the literature review which was made in our study, the researches about social responsibility projects organized in schools and the contribution of these projects to the virtue training were examined.

OKULLARDA DÜZENLENEN SOSYAL SORUMLULUK PROJELERİNİN DEĞERLER EĞİTİMİNE KATKISI

ÖZET

Türk Dil Kurumu (2016), İnsanoğlu ile birlikte var olan “sorumluluk” kavramını, kişinin kendi davranışlarını ya da kendi yetki alanına giren herhangi bir olayın sonuçlarını üstlenmesi, sorum, mesuliyet olarak tanımlamıştır. Toplum içinde yaşayan her bireyin kendine ait sorumlulukları bulunmaktadır. Birey kendi davranışları sonucu ortaya çıkan her olayın sorumluluğunu taşımaktadır. Toplumu oluşturan kişi ve kurumların tüm insanlara fayda sağlamak amacıyla meydana getirdiği davranışları ise “sosyal sorumluluk” olarak adlandırılmaktadır (Vural, Coşkun, 2011). Öğrencilerin topluma faydalı, bilinçli, yardımsever bireyler olarak yetişmesinde sosyal sorumluluk projeleri önemli rol oynamaktadır. Ayrıca, sosyal sorumluluk projelerinin değerler eğitimine de önemli katkısı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Çalışmamızın amacı sosyal sorumluluk projelerinin değerler eğitimine katkısını araştırmaktır. Literatür taraması yapılan araştırmamızda okullarda düzenlenen sosyal sorumluluk projeleri ve bu projelerin değerler eğitimine katkısı ile ilgili yapılan araştırmalar incelenmiştir.
