Identifying Evidence Based Teaching Strategies that Instructors Use and Practice In Their Classroom Settings and Their Relationship With Academic Performance

Abstract
The purpose of this study was conducted to determine instructors's evidence based teaching strategies that they practice and use in their classroom settings from perspective of students and their relationship with academic performance . A random sample of 300 studentsfrom the Hashemite University participated in the current study representing all faculties at the Hashemite university . In this study a questionnaire focusing on 10 evidence based teaching strategies was developed for data collection . The findings of this study showed that there were differences observed in the extent to which instructors used teaching strategies in their classroom that are evidence based. the results also showed positive relationship between these strategies and academic performance .
