Abstract
Education System Reform unveiled the need for contemporary teaching in Kosovo and, especially teaching in groups with the purpose of overcoming the traditional work.
In order to understand more clearly the current state in some schools in Kosovo, the goal of this study is to observe application of cooperative learning in group work in natural science subjects.
This study is of quasi - experimental character. 221 students participated in this study, 111 student in experimental group and 110 in control group. Students and teachers in the experimental group were instructed to apply learning through cooperation in group work in natural science subjects.
Findings and results of the study show that differences in final student success between control and experimental group are of important statistical value.
Also, findings from questionnaires for teacher and students in experimental group have shown higher values of cooperation compared to the control group.
Based on the results, insufficient teacher commitment during the teaching process is considered to be an implication.
