Concerns over recruiting and retaining special students in gifted education programs have persisted for several decades. Recently, gifted education in developed and developing countries has become an important agenda of education policies. A numbers of gifted education models have been developed with the idea that the training needs of gifted students have their individual rights. Although many educators, policymakers, and researchers have deliberated about the underrepresentation of special students in gifted education, very few studies exist on this topic. In addition, there is even fewer studies about how prospective teachers’ train and learn about gifted education. Therefore, aim of this study is to examine prospective science teachers’ attitudes towards gifted students’ education.

Survey method used in this research. Quantitative data will be gathered with Gifted Education Attitude Scale. Attitude scale will be applied on prospective science teachers about gifted education. After application, gathered data will be analyzed using SPSS.
